All Gifts Are For Others and Must Be Used with Love

There is a reason that Paul writes 1 Corinthians 13. When it comes to the gifts of the Spirit, everything must be done in love. It might be one of the most important lessons we will ever learn.

“If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing. Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:1-7‬ ‭(NASB‬‬)

Operating in the gifts of the Spirit must be done in love. Paul writes that without love, we are just loud noises, without love we are nothing. God is love and when he looks at his children, he sees Jesus. Many gifts of the Spirit allow God to share very sensitive information with us. The information is usually intended to pray for someone for their healing and freedom. Sometimes the Lord may ask us to share something with that person. Timing is also very important.

God speaks to me often through dreams. This is a prophetic revelatory gift. I give God full credit for this gift and I love blessing other people with the fruit of it. The Lord had me study how he spoke to people through dreams in the Bible before he gave me my first significant dream. He showed me how he spoke to Joseph that Mary was pregnant. Once I dreamed that some friends of mine had a child, then the scene changed and I saw the child in an athletic training room. Then I dreamed that I was supposed to tell the couple that because they were to have a child, they were supposed to end their strenuous ministry. I went to spend time with the couple and they said to me, “we are wondering if we are supposed to stop our ministry and do something new.” I said I had a dream that I was supposed to tell you that you were supposed to stop your ministry and do something new. The Holy Spirit stopped me from sharing the part about the child with them so I held onto that part of the dream. About a year later, the Lord told me to share that part. I did and they said, “we haven’t told anyone but we are pregnant.” The timing was very important. I also needed to share the message I had for them in love. In fact, it actually took them a while after they had the baby to let go of their ministry. I could have been rude and butted into their business accusing them of not obeying God but I knew I had to let them process what they felt God was saying to them in their own time.

God is love. To share a word from God with someone without love can deeply wound them. Have you ever been wounded by someone in the church? Chances are someone was not operating in love and they hurt you. The good news is, if you have been wounded, God can heal you.

We have to learn how to walk in love to operate in the gifts of the Spirit. Otherwise, we will just walk around wounding everyone. We will just be a noise that can hurt others.

If we have someone’s best interest at heart, if we see someone the way God sees them, we will walk in love. I pray that the Lord will teach you to walk in love.

This Christmas Let’s Unwrap The Gifts of the Spirit

A few years ago I asked the Lord if pastor I knew had the gifts of the Spirit. A few nights later, I had a dream. I dreamed that this pastors garage was full of gifts. The gifts were mostly Christmas gifts and they were given to him but he had not taken care of them. They were broken, unused and thrown all over his garage. Then all of the sudden, I realized that these were gifts that God had given him. All of the sudden in the dream, I began to feel how God felt to see all these gifts unused and untaken care of and almost thrown aside. It was heartbreaking. When I woke up I realized that God was showing me that this pastor did not have the gifts of the Spirit.  I also realized that there were many people in the body of Christ that threw aside the gifts of the Spirit, yet, these gifts are in the Bible. I could not shake the feeling that I  would love for the people in the body of Christ to grab ahold of all of the gifts God has given them. God didn’t intend for us to just use some of the gifts and decide that others had ceased. We don’t get to pick and choose which ones we want. God wants us to use all of the gifts that He has given us.

Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord. There are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith [d]by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of [e]healing [f]by the one Spirit, 10 and to another the [g]effecting of [h]miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the [i]distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills.

1 Corinthians 12: 4-11

Lana Vawser: “Come Away Does Not Mean Delay”

Here is a prophetic word from Lana Vawser from September 21 , 2017:

Over the past few weeks, I have been hearing the Lord saying over and over “Come away, does not mean delay.”

I saw an invitation from the heart of the Lord as we have moved into 5778 and as we move into 2018, that there are specific calls from the Lord amidst the acceleration, amidst the breakthrough, amidst the increase of favour to “come away.”

There are going to be very specific moments in this new season where the Lord is going to be calling His people to ‘come away’. That DOES NOT mean delay. There is a “come away” that the Lord is releasing in the NEW BEGINNING.

The “come away” is going to look very different for many. For some it will look like not stepping taking some opportunities that come their way, but rather the Lord saying “wait”. For others, it will be a sabbatical, for others it will be a change in focus and direction, whatever it looks like, there is a “Come away” invitation in this new season and into 2018, that will be a place of “making room” in the new beginnings of what God is doing.

Some of you will be called to a time of rest, but in that rest, you will see God do more than you have ever seen. There will be DOUBLE birthed in the rivers of rest.

The “come away” is actually a place of increase, it is actually a place of greater fruitfulness, it’s a place of birthing, it’s a place of desires fulfilled, it’s a place of reset, restrategising, it’s a place of recalibration.

Lana Vawser’s heart is to encourage believers in deeper intimacy with Him, equipping them to hear His voice, so they may have deeper revelation of who He is and their inheritance in Him.

Now is the Time To Walk in the Spirit

For He says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you,” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.  2 Corinthians 6:2

Seven years ago the Lord had me study how angels came to people in the Bible to deliver messages.  One morning my husbands alarm watch went off at 5am although he did not remember setting it. At the same time an angel appeared to me with the message, “Now is the Time!” Without even thinking, I began to softly sing “Now, Now is the time to worship!” I sought out to find out what Now is the Time meant. I found it that Now is the Time has many deep meanings. Time on heaven is not the same as time on earth. We can do things now to prepare for the promises that God has given us and then REST in Him to do the rest of the work. I do believe that Now is the time for a great harvest revival.  As the time in heaven meets the time on earth a NOW moment appears where God’s heavenly plans are met on the earth and carried out.

We are going to need to walk in the Spirit to take part in this revival. To walk in the Spirit, we need to know how to pray in the Spirit. We need to know how to hear God’s voice. We need humility to give God all of the glory. We need to pray God’s prophetic words exactly in His will. I talk about all of the steps to position ourselves for revival in a book the Lord asked me to write called, “Now is the Time to Walk in the Spirit.”

The Power of Life is in Your Tongue

It wasn’t until recently that I began to realize the power of Proverbs 18:21, “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit” (NIV). Do you have something that you want to see turn around in your life? Proclaim it: out loud! I speak healing in my family in Jesus name!  Combine this with scripture and you have a very powerful prayer combination. We can even personalize it by using someone specific’s name that we are praying for. The Bible said the angels harken to help us when we speak out scripture. “Bless the LORD, you His angels, Mighty in strength, who perform His word, Obeying the voice of His word!” (Psalm 103:20, NAS) and
“Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word” (KJV).

That means that when you speak out scripture, angels even harken to help you!

Let’s try a praying using a verse:

Isaiah 41:10  “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Now insert your name or the name of the Loved one that you are praying for. I am going to use my son Landon.

“So do not fear, for I am with Landon; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen Landon and help Landon; I will uphold Landon with my righteous right hand.”

I see a lot of peace from Landon already. He is a first born who struggles with perfection and worry but God is bigger!

Now is the Time for the Authentic

Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. John 4:23-24

True Worshippers will worship in Spirit and in truth.
This generation is seeking authentic worship – lives laid down for God and to love others. They are also seeking the Holy Spirit- the authentic Spirit of God.
There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. John 15:13
We have come into a time where we are discerning what is fake and seeking the authentic. It flows over into all areas of our lives. Instead of margarine, we use butter. Instead of buying things made in China, we buy local. We are also seeking the true God.
Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. James 1:27
If pure or true religion is to visit the fatherless and widows then impure or fake religion is performance. It seeks to please man over God. You will miss out on some of life’s greatest events if you are trying to please man.
There is also a religious spirit that is not from God but is a need to earn God’s love. It always says, you have to do more, pray more, read your Bible more. You can never do enough to satisfy this voice from the enemy. God’s grace is sufficient to satisfy the opposite of this.
True religion says I will love others and help them. False religion says I will appear to be religious to look good for others. The religious spirit is being discerned and it is on it’s way out of the church. Amen! Everyone to some degree may struggle with a false religious spirit given by the enemy.
If you feel this attack of the enemy could be bothering you, pray with me: I pray God would heal the religious spirit of performance in my life and His grace would overflow in these areas. I pray He would fill me with His Holy Spirit.

Now is the Time for Revival! God is Accelerating the Church!

We pray for revival often but we are not always ready for revival when God is ready to make it happen. Starting now, God is Accelerating the church so we will be ready for revival!

Get ready! Things that would normally have taken you years, will be done in days! People will get set free from sickness, debt, mental illnesses and anything they need to be set free from!  God is on the move! Your breakthrough is here!

God wants to use you to help other people who have to walk in your shoes! The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few! Will you be a part of the harvest? You will if you believe God can use you, not for your benefit, but for His glory!

“Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.”

‭‭John‬ ‭14:12-14‬ ‭NIV‬‬

We will have fresh waves of God’s glory poured out on us. Light was meant to pierce the darkness. Just because things appear to be chaotic doesn’t necessarily mean we have to feel this. In fact, light shines best in darkness!

Go Shine Young Men and Women of God! Shine with the love of God! Love even harder. Love, together with the Word and the Holy Spirit’s power, can do great things for God’s glory as we learn to Walk in the Spirit.

How To Set Up a Quick, Easy, Professional Website in Minutes

I started a new local company and we were able to set up our website in about an hour and 20 minutes. It took about an hour to come online after we bought our domain. Then we set it up. Here are the easy steps:

  1. Buy a domain name, you will need a host site, I love Bluehost. I think it is one of the best host companies and it is very simple to use. (You can go there to see if your domain name is available). They usually have you pay yearly but you can also pay for two years and get a discount.
  2. After you sign up you will click on your Hosting tab at the top of the page.
  3. Look down until you see the heading that says: Website. You will want to click on Install WordPress. This will give you an easy blog like website. You can use this format and still choose a very professional website but it will be very easy to run.
  4. Click on Get Started. Select your domain. If it is not available yet, you may need to wait an hour or two for Bluehost to activate the domain name that you purchased.
  5. Choose your domain name. Click Next. Fill in your settings. Site Name or title, Admin username,  Admin Email, Admin password. You will want to write these down but you can always reset them if you happen to forget them. Check all the boxes and Install. Allow it a few minutes to install.
  6. Log in by going to www.(Your Domain Name Here)/wp-admin
  7. Choose Appearance
  8. Choose Themes
  9. You can preview and activate different themes until you find the theme that you want for you blog.
  10. Enjoy Your New Website!
