All Gifts Are For Others and Must Be Used with Love

There is a reason that Paul writes 1 Corinthians 13. When it comes to the gifts of the Spirit, everything must be done in love. It might be one of the most important lessons we will ever learn.

“If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing. Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:1-7‬ ‭(NASB‬‬)

Operating in the gifts of the Spirit must be done in love. Paul writes that without love, we are just loud noises, without love we are nothing. God is love and when he looks at his children, he sees Jesus. Many gifts of the Spirit allow God to share very sensitive information with us. The information is usually intended to pray for someone for their healing and freedom. Sometimes the Lord may ask us to share something with that person. Timing is also very important.

God speaks to me often through dreams. This is a prophetic revelatory gift. I give God full credit for this gift and I love blessing other people with the fruit of it. The Lord had me study how he spoke to people through dreams in the Bible before he gave me my first significant dream. He showed me how he spoke to Joseph that Mary was pregnant. Once I dreamed that some friends of mine had a child, then the scene changed and I saw the child in an athletic training room. Then I dreamed that I was supposed to tell the couple that because they were to have a child, they were supposed to end their strenuous ministry. I went to spend time with the couple and they said to me, “we are wondering if we are supposed to stop our ministry and do something new.” I said I had a dream that I was supposed to tell you that you were supposed to stop your ministry and do something new. The Holy Spirit stopped me from sharing the part about the child with them so I held onto that part of the dream. About a year later, the Lord told me to share that part. I did and they said, “we haven’t told anyone but we are pregnant.” The timing was very important. I also needed to share the message I had for them in love. In fact, it actually took them a while after they had the baby to let go of their ministry. I could have been rude and butted into their business accusing them of not obeying God but I knew I had to let them process what they felt God was saying to them in their own time.

God is love. To share a word from God with someone without love can deeply wound them. Have you ever been wounded by someone in the church? Chances are someone was not operating in love and they hurt you. The good news is, if you have been wounded, God can heal you.

We have to learn how to walk in love to operate in the gifts of the Spirit. Otherwise, we will just walk around wounding everyone. We will just be a noise that can hurt others.

If we have someone’s best interest at heart, if we see someone the way God sees them, we will walk in love. I pray that the Lord will teach you to walk in love.

This Christmas Let’s Unwrap The Gifts of the Spirit

A few years ago I asked the Lord if pastor I knew had the gifts of the Spirit. A few nights later, I had a dream. I dreamed that this pastors garage was full of gifts. The gifts were mostly Christmas gifts and they were given to him but he had not taken care of them. They were broken, unused and thrown all over his garage. Then all of the sudden, I realized that these were gifts that God had given him. All of the sudden in the dream, I began to feel how God felt to see all these gifts unused and untaken care of and almost thrown aside. It was heartbreaking. When I woke up I realized that God was showing me that this pastor did not have the gifts of the Spirit.  I also realized that there were many people in the body of Christ that threw aside the gifts of the Spirit, yet, these gifts are in the Bible. I could not shake the feeling that I  would love for the people in the body of Christ to grab ahold of all of the gifts God has given them. God didn’t intend for us to just use some of the gifts and decide that others had ceased. We don’t get to pick and choose which ones we want. God wants us to use all of the gifts that He has given us.

Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord. There are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith [d]by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of [e]healing [f]by the one Spirit, 10 and to another the [g]effecting of [h]miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the [i]distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills.

Now is the Time To Walk in the Spirit

For He says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you,” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.  2 Corinthians 6:2

Seven years ago the Lord had me study how angels came to people in the Bible to deliver messages.  One morning my husbands alarm watch went off at 5am although he did not remember setting it. At the same time an angel appeared to me with the message, “Now is the Time!” Without even thinking, I began to softly sing “Now, Now is the time to worship!” I sought out to find out what Now is the Time meant. I found it that Now is the Time has many deep meanings. Time on heaven is not the same as time on earth. We can do things now to prepare for the promises that God has given us and then REST in Him to do the rest of the work. I do believe that Now is the time for a great harvest revival.  As the time in heaven meets the time on earth a NOW moment appears where God’s heavenly plans are met on the earth and carried out.

We are going to need to walk in the Spirit to take part in this revival. To walk in the Spirit, we need to know how to pray in the Spirit. We need to know how to hear God’s voice. We need humility to give God all of the glory. We need to pray God’s prophetic words exactly in His will. I talk about all of the steps to position ourselves for revival in a book the Lord asked me to write called, “Now is the Time to Walk in the Spirit.”

The Power of Life is in Your Tongue

It wasn’t until recently that I began to realize the power of Proverbs 18:21, “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit” (NIV). Do you have something that you want to see turn around in your life? Proclaim it: out loud! I speak healing in my family in Jesus name!  Combine this with scripture and you have a very powerful prayer combination. We can even personalize it by using someone specific’s name that we are praying for. The Bible said the angels harken to help us when we speak out scripture. “Bless the LORD, you His angels, Mighty in strength, who perform His word, Obeying the voice of His word!” (Psalm 103:20, NAS) and
“Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word” (KJV).

That means that when you speak out scripture, angels even harken to help you!

Let’s try a praying using a verse:

Isaiah 41:10  “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Now insert your name or the name of the Loved one that you are praying for. I am going to use my son Landon.

“So do not fear, for I am with Landon; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen Landon and help Landon; I will uphold Landon with my righteous right hand.”

I see a lot of peace from Landon already. He is a first born who struggles with perfection and worry but God is bigger!

Now is the Time for Revival! God is Accelerating the Church!

We pray for revival often but we are not always ready for revival when God is ready to make it happen. Starting now, God is Accelerating the church so we will be ready for revival!

Get ready! Things that would normally have taken you years, will be done in days! People will get set free from sickness, debt, mental illnesses and anything they need to be set free from!  God is on the move! Your breakthrough is here!

God wants to use you to help other people who have to walk in your shoes! The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few! Will you be a part of the harvest? You will if you believe God can use you, not for your benefit, but for His glory!

“Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.”

‭‭John‬ ‭14:12-14‬ ‭NIV‬‬

We will have fresh waves of God’s glory poured out on us. Light was meant to pierce the darkness. Just because things appear to be chaotic doesn’t necessarily mean we have to feel this. In fact, light shines best in darkness!

Go Shine Young Men and Women of God! Shine with the love of God! Love even harder. Love, together with the Word and the Holy Spirit’s power, can do great things for God’s glory as we learn to Walk in the Spirit.

Broken Wings

Broken Wings

This is a year of new beginnings, breakthrough, and divine reset.

“Behold, the former things have come to pass, Now I declare new things; Before they spring forth I proclaim them to you.” Isaiah 42:9
It hurts sometimes when our wings are broken by those we love. A friend sent me a picture of a church sign that read, “Don’t break a bird’s wings and then tell it to fly.” The sign turned out to be the sign from my parent’s church. It had an impact on many people.

The Lord declared to me that this is the season where He will place His loving balm on those who are broken. Even God’s own children have been wounded. Some may have been wounded by the church or family members. It cuts deep when you are wounded by someone that you are supposed to be able to trust. You may have had someone hurt you. You may have lost a loved one. You may be numb from the life events that have come your way. God longs to heal your pain. God has taught me that He will gently lead me back to the painful events from my life in His timing to heal me, allow me to release forgiveness, and set me free! This season you will begin to feel new freedom in your situations. Where you were once numb, you will slowly start to feel again! Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up” (Galatians 6:9).

There is something interesting about those who have had broken wings. They feel deep compassion for others. They feel compassion that they might not have felt, had they not gone through their trial. God is going to use what you have been through so you can help others who have to walk in your shoes. You can turn the hard times into something beautiful as you help someone else. Do you struggle with believing that God can use you to love others? God longs to use you to love others because He says that “the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few” (Luke 10:2).

I had a vision that I was fishing and the fish I caught were very slimy. The Lord told me, “the people you are about to share my love with are going to look messy but do not throw them back.” The Lord is doing a new thing. It will look different. We can’t have an old wineskin for what God is about to do. We have to be open to the new thing He is doing. This revival will be for the broken ones, the prodigals, and the outcasts.

“‘For this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I myself will search for my sheep and look after them. As a shepherd looks after his scattered flock when he is with them, so will I look after my sheep. I will rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on a day of clouds and darkness. I will bring them out from the nations and gather them from the countries, and I will bring them into their own land. I will pasture them on the mountains of Israel, in the ravines and in all the settlements in the land. I will tend them in a good pasture, and the mountain heights of Israel will be their grazing land. There they will lie down in good grazing land, and there they will feed in a rich pasture on the mountains of Israel. I myself will tend my sheep and have them lie down, declares the Sovereign Lord.” Ezekiel 34:11-15

I think sometimes we get comfortable with what we are familiar with, especially in the church. God is looking for people who will step out of their familiar comfort zone. He’s looking for loving, “good samaritan” hearts, people who will stop and help someone in need and not pass them by. He’s looking for those who will do these things without the need for praise from others. He’s giving those who are willing a divine reset to learn to walk in the Spirit. One of the things that has truly helped me walk in the Spirit right now is to block negative media voices. I only read and listen to things that will uplift my spirit. With social media there are so many sources of information trying to bombard us. We can take what is available to us and use positive resources to encourage us. This has been a huge key to victory for me. I personally enjoy Charisma Magazine and Elijah List. God has told me that He is bringing His glory back to America. The first wave is already here. This will help us have revival!

I pray you have an amazing year!

“Don’t break a bird’s wings and then tell it to fly. Don’t break a heart and then tell it to love. Don’t break a soul and then tell it to be happy. Don’t see the worst in a person and expect them to see the best in you. Don’t judge people and expect them to stand by your side. Don’t play with fire and expect to stay perfectly safe. Life is about giving and taking. You cannot expect to give bad and receive good. You cannot expect to give good and receive bad. Does it happen? Yes, but don’t make that an excuse for you to keep doing what you know is wrong. Don’t blame life for what you do. That is too selfish and ignorant on your behalf.”

What Does Walking in the Spirit Mean to You?

Walking in the Spirit for me means spending time with God by talking to Him, reading His Word, allowing the Spirit to guide me throughout the day, and obeying God’s voice. The joy that follows is so amazing it’s worth all the crazy warfare that comes with the cost.

About 7 years ago I received a spiritual gift that greatly accelerated my ability to hear and walk with God. At the same time I was going though something hard and I hit my knees to pray and read the Word. I needed a breakthrough and I began to pray  a lot, even through the night. A week later, I had my breakthrough and I also began to walk in the Spirit in ways I did not know were possible. That week almost every day something amazing happened. My elderly neighbor gave her life to the Lord. The Lord asked me to visit a church and while I was there, God healed a young girl (who fell directly into my arms) from a family history of seizures. I drove to a shopping mall, took what I thought was a wrong turn and began to hear God say, “Go left, go right, turn in there.” I went inside a store and found a young boy who’s mom (the store owner) was telling him he was a mistake. He was clearly distraught and seeking for her love. The Lord asked me to begin interceding and praying for him.

The enemy was ready and waiting for me and after all this I struggled with two big issues- people pleasing and pride. It took me years to flesh out performing for other people and learning to not care what they think but learning to please only God.

Meanwhile I began to wonder, why was I not taught about all this before? God began to teach me through the Word, the mentorship of Godly people He placed in my life, and through the Holy Spirit what walking in the Spirit looks like and how to thwart the enemies attacks against it.

It’s a beautiful dance with the Holy Spirit, a partnership to love others. I would love to hear what walking in the Spirit means to you!

What’s Wrong With the Media?

If you knew someone was lying would you sit and listen to him? Since when did the media start reporting what is not true in order to push their agenda? Probably in the last 6-10 years. I personally have given up watching the news because it’s filled with fear. How do we uncover why the media is so fake these days? It reminds me of a verse in the Bible:

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.  Isaiah 5:20

This is it! The media is twisting everything and calling evil good and good evil.

Here’s an article about a news reporter who admits she was paid to lie.

There is someone we fight who is called the “father of lies.” If we are supposed to cast his lies down, why would we sit an listen to lies on tv?

We need to pray for new media stations to rise up that will speak the truth.
