Broken Wings

Broken Wings

This is a year of new beginnings, breakthrough, and divine reset.

“Behold, the former things have come to pass, Now I declare new things; Before they spring forth I proclaim them to you.” Isaiah 42:9
It hurts sometimes when our wings are broken by those we love. A friend sent me a picture of a church sign that read, “Don’t break a bird’s wings and then tell it to fly.” The sign turned out to be the sign from my parent’s church. It had an impact on many people.

The Lord declared to me that this is the season where He will place His loving balm on those who are broken. Even God’s own children have been wounded. Some may have been wounded by the church or family members. It cuts deep when you are wounded by someone that you are supposed to be able to trust. You may have had someone hurt you. You may have lost a loved one. You may be numb from the life events that have come your way. God longs to heal your pain. God has taught me that He will gently lead me back to the painful events from my life in His timing to heal me, allow me to release forgiveness, and set me free! This season you will begin to feel new freedom in your situations. Where you were once numb, you will slowly start to feel again! Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up” (Galatians 6:9).

There is something interesting about those who have had broken wings. They feel deep compassion for others. They feel compassion that they might not have felt, had they not gone through their trial. God is going to use what you have been through so you can help others who have to walk in your shoes. You can turn the hard times into something beautiful as you help someone else. Do you struggle with believing that God can use you to love others? God longs to use you to love others because He says that “the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few” (Luke 10:2).

I had a vision that I was fishing and the fish I caught were very slimy. The Lord told me, “the people you are about to share my love with are going to look messy but do not throw them back.” The Lord is doing a new thing. It will look different. We can’t have an old wineskin for what God is about to do. We have to be open to the new thing He is doing. This revival will be for the broken ones, the prodigals, and the outcasts.

“‘For this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I myself will search for my sheep and look after them. As a shepherd looks after his scattered flock when he is with them, so will I look after my sheep. I will rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on a day of clouds and darkness. I will bring them out from the nations and gather them from the countries, and I will bring them into their own land. I will pasture them on the mountains of Israel, in the ravines and in all the settlements in the land. I will tend them in a good pasture, and the mountain heights of Israel will be their grazing land. There they will lie down in good grazing land, and there they will feed in a rich pasture on the mountains of Israel. I myself will tend my sheep and have them lie down, declares the Sovereign Lord.” Ezekiel 34:11-15

I think sometimes we get comfortable with what we are familiar with, especially in the church. God is looking for people who will step out of their familiar comfort zone. He’s looking for loving, “good samaritan” hearts, people who will stop and help someone in need and not pass them by. He’s looking for those who will do these things without the need for praise from others. He’s giving those who are willing a divine reset to learn to walk in the Spirit. One of the things that has truly helped me walk in the Spirit right now is to block negative media voices. I only read and listen to things that will uplift my spirit. With social media there are so many sources of information trying to bombard us. We can take what is available to us and use positive resources to encourage us. This has been a huge key to victory for me. I personally enjoy Charisma Magazine and Elijah List. God has told me that He is bringing His glory back to America. The first wave is already here. This will help us have revival!

I pray you have an amazing year!

“Don’t break a bird’s wings and then tell it to fly. Don’t break a heart and then tell it to love. Don’t break a soul and then tell it to be happy. Don’t see the worst in a person and expect them to see the best in you. Don’t judge people and expect them to stand by your side. Don’t play with fire and expect to stay perfectly safe. Life is about giving and taking. You cannot expect to give bad and receive good. You cannot expect to give good and receive bad. Does it happen? Yes, but don’t make that an excuse for you to keep doing what you know is wrong. Don’t blame life for what you do. That is too selfish and ignorant on your behalf.”

What Does Walking in the Spirit Mean to You?

Walking in the Spirit for me means spending time with God by talking to Him, reading His Word, allowing the Spirit to guide me throughout the day, and obeying God’s voice. The joy that follows is so amazing it’s worth all the crazy warfare that comes with the cost.

About 7 years ago I received a spiritual gift that greatly accelerated my ability to hear and walk with God. At the same time I was going though something hard and I hit my knees to pray and read the Word. I needed a breakthrough and I began to pray  a lot, even through the night. A week later, I had my breakthrough and I also began to walk in the Spirit in ways I did not know were possible. That week almost every day something amazing happened. My elderly neighbor gave her life to the Lord. The Lord asked me to visit a church and while I was there, God healed a young girl (who fell directly into my arms) from a family history of seizures. I drove to a shopping mall, took what I thought was a wrong turn and began to hear God say, “Go left, go right, turn in there.” I went inside a store and found a young boy who’s mom (the store owner) was telling him he was a mistake. He was clearly distraught and seeking for her love. The Lord asked me to begin interceding and praying for him.

The enemy was ready and waiting for me and after all this I struggled with two big issues- people pleasing and pride. It took me years to flesh out performing for other people and learning to not care what they think but learning to please only God.

Meanwhile I began to wonder, why was I not taught about all this before? God began to teach me through the Word, the mentorship of Godly people He placed in my life, and through the Holy Spirit what walking in the Spirit looks like and how to thwart the enemies attacks against it.

It’s a beautiful dance with the Holy Spirit, a partnership to love others. I would love to hear what walking in the Spirit means to you!

What’s Wrong With the Media?

If you knew someone was lying would you sit and listen to him? Since when did the media start reporting what is not true in order to push their agenda? Probably in the last 6-10 years. I personally have given up watching the news because it’s filled with fear. How do we uncover why the media is so fake these days? It reminds me of a verse in the Bible:

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.  Isaiah 5:20

This is it! The media is twisting everything and calling evil good and good evil.

Here’s an article about a news reporter who admits she was paid to lie.

There is someone we fight who is called the “father of lies.” If we are supposed to cast his lies down, why would we sit an listen to lies on tv?

We need to pray for new media stations to rise up that will speak the truth.

Ask, Seek, and Knock

God is not a respecter of persons so if He does something for someone else, He will most likely do it for you too! So instead of being jealous, we can say “Lord- please do that for me too!”I remember a time when I had my Bargain Shopper Lady blog, one of my good blogger friends had gotten an interview with a local tv station. I was so excited for her and I prayed, “God if you want to do that for me too, please do!” I am not joking when I tell you that about an hour later, I checked my email and there was an email from a tv station asking me to do an interview.

God loves you so much and He longs to bless you – if you will believe that He will.

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7

Why Do We Care About Our Land but Not Our Debt?

We recycle and are green and try our best to leave our land in better shape for our children but what about our countries debt? It is increasing by the day. Why does this not bother us? Why do we give our enemies in other countries millions of dollars that we do not have? What happens when our debt catches up to us? What will it do to our children?

What does the Word say about debt? Here is what I found.

“Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭13:8‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is the slave of the lender.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭22:7‬ ‭ESV‬‬

We fight in our country for our freedom. Yet, we are not free in the area of money. I have an urgent desire to pray for our financial state in America. Will you join me? Pray for our finances and that we will get out of debt for our children.

Trusting God in Your Storms

If your life had a major event and you experienced a trauma of some kind, would you trust God in the midst of your storm?

He’s calling you out upon the waters. He wants you to look at Him and not the storm. He has all the peace that you need. He doesn’t want you to sink, He wants you to walk on water! We can do this by focusing on Him. Know that God is bigger than your biggest problem!

God’s eyes roam to and from the Earth looking for those who’s hearts are fully committed to Him. (2 Chronicles 16:9)

God is looking to raise up an army who can handle life’s storms. He is looking for soldiers who put Him first, trust in Him, and truly love others. Will you answer the call? Now is the time!

God is Calling in The Wounded Warriors

The Lord spoke to me today and said,”I’m calling in the wounded warriors.” There’s nothing more painful than being wounded by the Church. Somehow our wounds sting harder knowing that a Christian brother or sister hurt us. If this is you, God is calling you in to press into Him. I have been a wounded warrior. I wish I could share what happened to me, but it’s very painful and the Lord has asked me not to dredge up my past now that it’s healed. Please know that I do feel for you and understand you if you are a wounded warrior. The enemy can use anyone and He often uses Christians to hurt others. He knows it could possibly drive someone away from God. However, God wants you to know that He longs for you to come to Him for comfort. He never wants anything to get in the way of your relationship with Him and He can heal you if the enemy over played His hand in your life. Your wounds run deep but His love for you runs deeper. He’s calling you out upon the waters to step out in faith with Him. In the Bible, Jesus often rebuked the religious leaders. Today there is still the same spirit as there was then. It is the Religious Spirit. It seeks to wound the Bride, yet allows Christians to forget that without love, we are nothing. I believe that everyone has some aspect of a Religious spirit, especially if you grew up in the Church. Ask God to heal you of all aspects of it so you can more effectively love others. Rebuke it and replace it with the Holy Spirit. Remember wounded warriors, that Christians are humans too. This is helpful because we have to forgive. Forgive the ones that wounded you and allow God to place His healing hand on your heart. Use your scars to thrust you into your destiny, a place to love everyone, especially the outcasts of the church. If we can unite in love, we would have a powerful fight against the enemy. He knows that a house divided cannot stand. Think of someone you can unite together with today and make a decision to love today because without love, we are nothing.

Raindrops From Heaven

I saw a beautiful picture from Azusa Now of a painting of raindrops of fire from Heaven. It reminded me that the Lord recently gave me the verse “Jesus wept.” Then I saw a picture of God’s tears falling from Heaven. The Lord was sad because of the state of our Nation. He then said that in His loving kindness, He is pouring out His Spirit on the Earth to help us right now.

“‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.” Acts 2:17

The Lord wants us to seek His heart and not do things with the motive to please man.

Have you felt strong winds lately? The Lord whispered to me that this is the Holy Spirit. He is pouring out His Spirit as He promised. We are going to need it for the Harvest Revival that is coming. We will need to trust God in the midst of the storms that come in our lives.

God’s Presence on Earth

The Lord woke me up one morning and showed me the history of the Chatlotte Panthers and how He built their stadium in an old lumberyard. He’s using the lumber to build a building in the spiritual realm to hold His presence. He’s also using the lumber to reconstruct the church to seek His heart instead of a man made church service.

The Lord shared with me that the Panthers are symbolic of the outcasts that he is calling to himself. He’s calling those who are called “animals” or even groups that feel opressed such as The Black Panthers. He’s bringing in the ones the world would calls “losers.” Couldn’t the Panthers be symbolic of this? They lost the Super Bowl this year. In Charlotte we are all broken-hearted about the Super Bowl and we can relate to the outcasts.

Here’s the thing, even though the Panthers lost, in my heart they are still winners. I love them so much I almost forgot they lost the game. God feels the same way about His lost sheep! He loves them so much, He still sees them as winners. The world can call them whatever they want, His heart is always for them.

In the Old Testament the priests had to be completely pure or they would die in the Holy of Holies. Now God’s sending His presence to help us go into the secret place, so we can worship in the Spirit and in truth.

“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.””

‭‭John‬ ‭4:23-24‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I believe God’s presence will be so amazing that we will surrender our idols in obedience to God, and  we will enter into the Holy of Holies. Those who do worship in the Spirit and in truth will enter into God’s presence in a new way. They will carry God’s presence and will be used by the Lord to greatly bless others. Now is the time to Worship!

Why Someone with a Jezebel Spirit usually Has to Leave Their Church

No one wants a Jezebel spirit, but many times if someone is healed of a Jezebel spirit, they still may need to leave their church.

Here’s why:

The book of Revelation says that a Jezebel spirit is a seducing spirit that leads someone to idolatry, meaning they end up putting someone over God. The Jezebel spirit is usually (but not always) opressing a female. A male may feel a very seducing sexual pull when they are around a female with a Jezebel spirit, especially if they are more prone to struggle with lust. The Jezebel spirit makes the woman feel a pull towards the male as well. When someone feels the pull, the best thing to do is to avoid the other person, especially if one or both of the people are married. If they go out of their way to seek out this person, they will most likely make a huge mistake or the Lord will ask them to cut all ties with the person. This can create job loss or relocation for the sake of a healthy marriage. If members of a church are pulled to a female with a Jezebel spirit, even if the female gets healed, she will most likely need to switch churches to create a healthy environment. Many men will remember the pull that they had towards her and the healthiest thing may be to cut them off.

Rejoice if you have been healed of a Jezebel spirit but know that it might be healthy to make a new start and find a new church. The Lord will lead you in what to do.

If you feel a strange sexual pull towards men often, you may have a Jezebel spirit. Ask God to heal you. Find a friend or church that does deliverance near you if you need help getting set free.
